green_info.pngThe U11 team currently has an opening for a goal keeper.  Interested players should contact Coach Goeltz.  The team completed a very successful fall season, finishing first in their State League division.  They are current playing indoors at Pinnacle Soccer.

The LKSC96 U13 team took some team representatives to Michigan to play futsal against some of Michigan’s finest, Michigan Crew and Novi Jaguar teams, to name a few. We competed in futsal, a very fast paced game played on a basketball court. With never playing in a league game before and one night of practice, LKSC finished third.

Great Job Girls!!

You need JavaScript enabled to view it.  Let us know what you were doing, what you experienced, and what browser you were using (its version would be nice too!)

In the mean time we have had good luck using Mozilla's Firefox browser, Google's Chrome browser and Apple's Safari browser.  If you can try using one of those you may have better luck.  If you must use IE, some users have reported luck with refreshing multiple times.

Again, please let us know what problems you might have.  It's the only way we can have a chance to fix things if something is wrong on our end. We want your experience here to be a good one.

Thanks

CasaSeasonFinale_000.JPGAll four teams are participating in the CASA Season Finale Tournament this weekend.  It may be wet, it may be chilly, but it will be soccer filled weekend for all.  Go Knights!

Saturday:  The U11's and U12's kicked things off well, both winning 2-1 in their respective games.  In the second game of the day, the 12's powered to a 4-2 victory.

Sunday: The U11's battled to a tie in their morning game.  The U12's captured a tie for first place in their division with a 2-0 win over Cleveland Select.  The girls can be proud to be one of the 4 out of 20 teams to make it to the semifinals.  In the semi-final the girls were looking strong with a 2-0 lead mid way through the second half, but CSA fought back to tie it 2-2.  In the shootout CSA prevailed.

The U13 team had a rough weekend playing the Premier division.  They had a large number of players that played with the flu.  The coaches are very proud of the girls for gutting it out all weekend against some of the best teams that this area has to offer.  Hopefully they will be healthy for our last regular season game on Thursday.

The U14 Team played some of their best soccer of the season as they tied a talented team from Everest Saturday morning.  Their loss Saturday afternoon came to a team that eventually went on to win the Championship.  The Tournament weekend was a nice ending a successful Fall season for the U14 team.

Congratulations to former LKSC and current MHS varsity player Stephanie Bowman for being selected by the Gazette as the 2009 All-Gazette Girls Soccer Team MVP.  Fourteen county players were named to the team but only one MVP was selected.  Way to go Stephanie!

A belated congratulations also goes out to former LKSC player Lauren Schollaert who made the Mount Union Varsity team in her freshman year.
