It is the vision of the Lady Knights Soccer Club, Inc. (LKSC) to provide the young ladies of Medina and surrounding communities with the opportunity to participate in organized competitive soccer and prepare them for the competitive level of high school play. LKSC emphasizes instruction on basic and advanced soccer skills, structured team play, sportsmanship, character building, leadership and a sense of fair play. With these ideals in mind, guided by experienced and successful coaches, we are competitive on the field of play and provide a framework for success in other endeavors as your child develops.

Current and former players are from Medina, Brunswick, Buckeye, Wadsworth, Copley, Cloverleaf, Black River and Highland school districts.

We currently field a U10, U11, U12, U13 and U14 team, all playing in the OYSA-N State League. In addition to the youth teams, LKSC also has indoor and spring high school teams primarily composed of LKSC alumni. LKSC is a program and not a collection of individual teams. We will not accept teams into our club searching for a venue to play.

Players are taught about different aspects of the game through handouts and discussions. Guest coaches are brought in to provide foot skill training and to offer different perspectives to the game. The objective is to develop a lifelong love of soccer through education, positive reinforcement, and fun.

Annual player evaluations with the coaching staff are available and often result in significant performance improvements. Plyometrics are employed during practices to increase speed and prevent injury. Several times throughout the year coaches perform standardized tests to assess athletic performance. Players that have a desire to improve also have structured programs, such as The 10,000 Touch Challenge, that will help them develop on their own. Players that excel may "play up" on older teams on occasion based on the assesment of the Director of Coaching. These are just a couple of items that makes LKSC different from other clubs.

LKSC also recognizes the social aspect of soccer as well.  Each spring LKSC has hosted a "player vs. parent" scrimmage and picnic.  This is well attended and looked forward to every year.  Also, LKSC provides a hospitality tent at some of the tournaments that are attended where hot dogs are served as well as many pot-luck dishes. This encourages a close bonding of players and parents from different teams and creates a "club atmosphere".

Costs can vary somewhat depending upon each teams activities, but expect to pay about $195 per outdoor session, plus $40-$50 tournament costs. Indoor session costs vary, but typically should be between $60 and $90. LKSC places a strong emphasis on controlling costs, but even with the lowest fees in the area we recognize some families may have difficulty paying. Please discuss your needs confidentially with Ted Goeltz and arrangements can be made. Scholarships are available as well as volunteer work and fund raisers which can offset your costs substantially.
