As if scripted for a Hollywood movie the division title came down to the last game of the season pitting NOESA against our LKSC 97 team.

Both teams traded goals throughout the competition, scoring more on each other than what was scored on each team throughout the season.  The game ended in a 6-6 tie with the division title going to the undefeated Lady Knights.  NOESA had previously lost to Ontario.

Goals were scored by Amanda (3), Brynn, Bekah and Maggie with assists going to Allison, Brynn, Sarah V. and Cara.

The team gave a group hug to Cara as she leaves the club and is headed to more soccer success in Southern Indiana.  Good luck Cara and we will miss you!

Playing against an undefeated Ontario team, LKSC 97 managed to keep the ball in the opponent's half for nearly the entire game with goal keepers Miranda and Maggie only touching the ball a few times.

Playing an excellent game of possession, the Knights were able to score at 4:50 with a goal by Brynn, assisted by Britt.  Although controlling the ball, they were unable to find the back of the net in the remainder of the first half.

Coming out just as strong and determined in the second half, Brynn put the Knights up 2-0 with a goal in the 15th minute with an assist from U11 guest Sarah V.  Less than a minute later Jess scored without an assist.  Brynn made a hat-trick in the 18th minute knocking in a corner kick from Bekah, and then finished the scoring for the Knights in the 20th minute with another assist from guest U11 Jordan.

The defensive effort was very solid from Bekah, Jess, Britt, and Cara, while Morgan, Miranda, Sarah, Allison, and Clarice possessed the ball denying Ontario any opportunity to score.  Notch a 5-0 victory for the Lady Knights!

The Lady Knights U12 team defeated HSDP in a Friday night game at the Copley Soccer Complex.  In her debut as a starting forward, Bekah scored the opening goal, unassisted, in the fourth minute of the first half. It took the Knights another 13 minutes before LKSC could score again, this time it came from a very steep-angled shot from the far right of the field by Clarice. Ali assisted the goal.

In the second half Jess scored from a corner kick perfectly delivered by Bekah. This was the last LKSC goal of the game and it came in the 7th minute.  HSDP took advantage of a formation change by LKSC and scored in the 11th minute and then again in the 22nd minute.  The Knights regrouped and stiffled the momentum that HSDP had gained to come out victorious with a 3-2 score.

Thanks go to goal keepers Sydney, Miranda and Morgan.

In windy, cold and rainy conditions the LKSC U12 team dominated the Cleveland Kickers with a score of 4-0. The first half started a bit slow for the Lady Knights, acclimating themselves to the artificial turf and weather conditions. In the 20th minute of the game Brynn knocked in a goal with an assist from Jess. Sydney did a great job denying the Kickers with several saves in spite of a strong wind in the Kickers favor. The 12s played a 3-3-1 in the first half because of the wind.

In the second half the 12s went to a 2-3-2 to take advantage of the conditions. Amanda scored a goal in the 13th minute just seconds after being moved to a forward position. The assist was provided by Clarice. Just six minute later, Amanda scored another goal this time assisted by Brynn. Clarice finished off the scoring with a goal in the 28th minute once again assisted by Brynn. The defensive highlight of the second half was a quick reaction save by goal keeper Miranda on a Cleveland Kickers corner kick.  The save kept the team's streak of 0 goals scored against this season alive.

In their second game this season the 12s took advantage of beautiful weather and a young team to go on an 8-0 rampage over the Xplosion.

Amanda opened up the scoring in the 11th minute taking advantage of a well placed "change of field" pass from Britt.  Two minutes later Ali powered in a shot from the right side from a pass provided by Amanda.  After another two minutes went by and the two teamed up again to provide an instant replay.  The half ended 3-0.

Coach Ted challenged the team to score five more goals in the second half and the girls did not disappoint.  In the first two minutes of the half Jess buried a pass from Brynn and less than a minute later Amanda placed a beautiful direct kick into the corner of net.  In the 16th minute Jess returned an Xplosion goal kick with a one-touch directly into the goal.  Cara buried a pass from Brynn in the 23rd minute and Sarah completed the scoring from a well placed pass from Maggie.

Credit the defense with their second shut-out this year, led by goal keepers Sydney, Miranda and Morgan, and solid defense by Bekah.

The 12s opened the season with a 3-0 win over OSU in Wooster.  With good conditions, the Lady Knights dominated the game with Sydney, the keeper in the first half, only touching the ball twice, and Miranda, in the second half doing the same.   The ball was controlled the majority of the game with some sharp, short passes from the offense and a very stingy defense.  Goals were scored by Brynn and Jessica and they each assisted each other on the goals.
