In a very productive weekend for the Lady Knights, our four youngest teams took home t-shirts and medals in the GAASA Spring Playoffs.

In Saturday's action, the 13s lost 2-1 to Highland in the last seconds of the championship game.

On Sunday, the 11s were the first to capture a title by defeating Wadsworth 3-1. The 10s followed with a 7-1 thumping of Highland. The 12s advanced to the final by beating Springfield in a sudden-death shoot-out, but came up short in the final and finished a hard-fought game against Wadsworth down 3-0.

During the week both of the older teams, our U14s playing in a U18 division, and our HS team, were defeated in the semi-finals.

Congratulations to all LKSC teams for qualifying for the playoffs, and special recognition to the U10s and U11s for capturing the title for the third straight season!. The U10s also were also regular season division champions.

The U10s defeated Westlake Cyclones 10-0 and Avon Lake Shorty Shore Gals 10-4 to secure a spot in the Championship game.  In the final, the 10s fought hard against a fiesty Bay team to come back from a 3-0 deficit, but came up short losing to Bay 4-3.  The girls were presented plaques for their efforts

The Lady Knights captured the Fall Championships in  U10 Division 1 and U11 Division 1, as well as runner-up in U14 Division 1 of the Greater Akron Amateur Soccer Association.

In the semi-final the 10s tied Highland 4-4 in regulation after being down 4-1 at half.  They went on to the finals after winning the shoot-out 3-1.   In the finals they dominated Green and came through with a 5-1 victory.

After narrowly defeating the Strikers 1-0 in the semi-final, the U11s faced a tough Green, where they tied 2-2 in regulation, went immediately into a shoot-out, and came out victorious.

The U14s played Manchester in the semi-final game.  Although Manchester had tied LKSC in their first meeting this season and beat LKSC in the second meeting, the Lady Knights scored a goal in the first ten minutes of the game and hung on for the remaining sixty minutes to win and advance to the final.  In the final they fell to a very fast and skilled Akron Metro team.
